Nicola had a good start to the season at Oasby, with all the horses going really well for their first outings of the season.
The two mares Beltane Queen and Annie Clover put up two good performances, with Beltane Queen winning her Intermediate section and Annie Clover coming 3rd in her OI section.
Opposition Buzz was clearly delighted to be out competing again and although on his toes in the dressage he jumped a lovely double clear to finish 3rd in his OI section.
Nicola’s new ride, Watermill Vision won the ON section, which was a nice confident start to a new partnership, and not to be outdone, was her young horse Hero Motivator, who was 2nd in his BE100 section.
The weather on Thursday was glorious sunshine and the ground conditions superb, on Friday there was thick fog to contend with and on Saturday it did not stop raining all day.
Nicola is very appreciative to the organisers who did a fantastic job, not only with the ground conditions but also with the flowing cross-country course, which was perfect for a first outing of the season.
Lincoln is the next outing and let’s hope the weather has warmed up!!
