Biography

Horses have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember, and whether they are old friends or new, spending my time in their company is the best part of my job. After several years of working for Horse & Rider magazine, I decided to follow my passion and work with horses directly, and retrained as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist through the College of Animal Physiotherapy. Rehabilitation work with horses has always held a special interest for me, and problems with my own horse at the time lead me further down this path. I work closely with a rehabilitation yard in Surrey, and with an equine biomechanics instructor. This lead to my training with Wow saddles, offering a good alternative to traditional saddles, especially for horses needing rehabilitation work, or those that are particularly tricky to fit! I am also a qualified MSFC saddle fitter, so can fit, adjust and reflock traditional saddles. Adding the bit and bridle fitting to the services I could offer has been a fantastic way to look at the whole picture of the horse and how we can positively support good locomotion through tack that works for both horse and rider.
