Sound (Bitting) Advice…

22nd March 2021

I got in touch with Neue Schule for bitting advice after my daughter started to have a few control issues with her pony.

Eddie is a 12.3hh cob type and at only 6 years old could prove a little strong and tricky to turn. He also had started to put his head up high when he wanted to get away especially out hacking.

Neue Schule advised 2 bits and we decided to trial the Pony Tranz Angled Lozenge Butterfly Pelham. It immediately seemed to suit the pony. Molly can now control Eddie much better, and he does not seem to get his head up anymore.

This has made Molly more confident and a much happier partnership! Molly is now cantering and jumping around the farm with Eddie with a lot more control and safety than in her previous bit.

Thank you so much for the advice!
