Biography
I have ridden for about 45 years, and have run a small livery yard. I compete in affiliated dressage to novice level. My background is in the NHS, having worked across a range of acute, community and emergency trusts in London and the south-east. I was a hospitals inspector in England’s first national infection control inspection team.
I trained in saddle fitting, leatherwork and equine anatomy in both Germany and the UK, and am on the SMS pathway. I use the Medilogic saddle pressure analysis system to check the amount and location of pressure created by the saddle . Also available to clients is the use of a Tele-Rein, a rein gauge that gives instant feedback to the rider about the weight of the contact.
I value working in liaison with vets, equine dentists and other bodywork professionals and am happy to refer clients to healthcare professionals when required.
From mid-2020, I will be offering the Emmett Technique to both horses and riders. This means I will have the capacity to help straighten saddles, horses and riders!
