Ian Taft is an experienced show jumping rider having trained with American Olympic showjumper Warren Wofford, before going on to ride for Fred Hartill of the Pennwood stable known famously for its top horse Pennwood Forgemill, and then as working pupil for showjumper Geoff Glazzard a leading national and international rider based at his stable in Brewood Staffordshire.
Ian is a Lantra qualified Bridle and Bit Fitting specialist having attended the approved training course through the Neue Schule Academy concentrating on the correct fitting of bridles and bits in order to maximise the horse’s comfort to relieve pressure, tension, and irritation so that the horse’s performance is improved through greater expression of movement, which is particularly important for performance horses working at high level.
Ian is also a saddle fitter and is Master Saddler qualified in saddle flocking and flocking adjustment and is approved by The Saddle Company Ltd and is also approved representative for Amerigo and Equipe saddles having trained with top international saddle designer Peter Menet.
